More About National Auctioneers Day
History of National Auctioneers Day: The National Auctioneers Day has been celebrated for nearly 25 years now as per the National Auctioneers Association. However, there is no clear information on who started this day or how it came upon as a celebration. What we do know is that the auctioneers have a very long history, with auctions dating back to 500 BC in Babylon. It is counted among the earliest of professions and has more than two thousand years of history to its credit. While we don’t know the reason for the celebration of this day or the person who initiated the celebration of this day, it is a day to ponder upon the contribution of auctioneers and honor them on this day.
