More About Tell a Fairy Tale Day

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
-Albert Einstein

Tell a Fairy Tale Day takes place on February 26 every year. It's a time for revisiting old and new fairy tales with your children or on your own. Did you know that fairy tales are a form of folk tales? They have a strong oral and written tradition all around the world in so many different cultures! Before the 17th century, fairy tales often had themes unsuitable for children and were written mostly for adults.

It's cold outside, snuggle up together, and retell them one of your favorites or share a new from another part of the world!
