LCMGA “Meet Me in the Garden” Garden Walk 2024

Lake County Master Gardeners Association (LCMGA) is composed of volunteers who have received intensive education in horticulture through the Purdue Extension Master Gardener Program. The Program educates volunteers who provide the citizens of Indiana with a resource of information, giving them a chance to grow in their understanding of the joy and the challenges of home gardening. Lake County was one of four participating counties when Indiana’s Master Gardener program began in 1978.

While the group participates in many events and activities in support of its mission - “Helping Others Grow,” there are two signature events that raise funds to support the scholarship and grant programs - LCMGA Annual Plant Sale and Annual Garden Walk. These programs provide scholarships for Lake County students of horticulture and related studies and grants for local gardening projects that benefit the Lake County communities they serve.
